CoreState License Agreement Version 1.0 Copyright (c) 2026 TheROcraft. All rights reserved. This License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (an individual or a single legal entity, "Licensee") and the copyright holder of CoreState ("Licensor") for the CoreState software, including its Docker images, installer, documentation and any updates ("Software"). By installing, copying or using the Software you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software. 1. License grant Subject to this Agreement, Licensor grants Licensee a free of charge, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Software on systems controlled by Licensee, for the purpose of monitoring Licensee's own services and publishing status pages about them. This includes use within Licensee's business. 2. Restrictions Licensee must not, and must not allow others to: a) sell, resell, rent, lease, license or otherwise commercially distribute the Software or any part of it; b) offer the Software, or a service substantially based on it, to third parties as a hosted or managed service (e.g. "status pages as a service"); c) copy, publish or redistribute the Software, its Docker images or installation files, except for backups and the copies needed to run it as permitted in section 1; d) modify, translate or create derivative works of the Software; e) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, deobfuscate or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Software, except to the extent expressly permitted by mandatory applicable law; f) remove, alter or obscure any copyright notice, license notice, name, logo or other branding of the Software, including the "Powered by CoreState" notice where it is shown by default; g) circumvent any technical measure of the Software. 3. Ownership The Software is licensed, not sold. Licensor retains all rights, title and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights. "CoreState" and the CoreState logo are identifiers of the Licensor and may not be used for other products or services. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. 4. Data Data processed with the Software (monitors, status pages, incidents, accounts) stays under Licensee's control on Licensee's systems. Licensee is responsible for operating the Software in compliance with applicable law, including data protection law. 5. Content and use of instances Licensee operates its CoreState instances itself. Licensee alone is responsible for everything published, displayed or sent with them, in particular status pages and their texts, footer texts, links, custom CSS, logos and other images, incident and maintenance notices, e-mails and notifications, domain names, and for how the instances are used. Licensor does not host, operate, monitor, review or control any instance or its content, does not endorse it and is not responsible or liable for it. The "Powered by CoreState" notice only states that the Software is used; it does not mean that Licensor has approved or is associated with the content. Licensee must ensure that it has all rights to its content and that the content and its use of the Software comply with applicable law and do not infringe the rights of others. Licensee shall indemnify and hold Licensor harmless from all claims of third parties, including reasonable legal costs, arising from Licensee's content or from Licensee's use of the Software. 6. Updates Licensor may, but is not obliged to, provide updates. Updates are governed by this Agreement unless they come with a different agreement. 7. No warranty The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Licensor does not warrant that the Software is error-free or will run without interruption. 8. Limitation of liability To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Licensor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or business, arising out of or in connection with the Software or this Agreement. Liability for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under mandatory product liability law remains unaffected. 9. Termination This Agreement is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if Licensee breaches any of its terms. Upon termination Licensee must stop using the Software and delete all copies of it. 10. Miscellaneous If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. This Agreement is the entire agreement regarding the Software. Third-party open source components included in the Software are subject to their own licenses.
